Well done on completing the logging activity. I think you make two very valid points, however, logging is used to build houses, for paper and generate heat/power. What would happen if we stopped logging altogether?
Have you heard of the One Billion Trees Programme? The NZ Government has set a goal to plant 1 Billion trees by 2028 to help protect the environment and mitigate climate change. I think this is a great step in the right direction. What do you think?
Looking forward to seeing more blog posts from you soon Tristan! Nga mihi, Georgia
WOW! Tristan! What an awesome and creative presentation of yours. It got me thinking just by reading it. I agree, we should stop logging. But i've heard that when they cut down the fresh new trees, they plant and grow other ones. So its very much confusing for me. What can you do to help stop logging?
Nice to meet you. I hope you are enjoying your summer holidays! We are into our third week with the Summer Learning Journey and it has been so much fun. There has been so many exciting, fascinating and fun blog posts that students have shared and are continuing to create. The last day of this programme is the 25th of January so there is still plenty of time to get those blog posts in! Remember, you could be winning an iPad and other prizes for your effort in your blog posts, how cool would that be?
You can find all the activities here on our website: https://sites.google.com/site/summerlearningjourney/weekly-activities You can complete as many of the activities as you like, and in any order. Each activity is worth points, and remember, you can also earn points 2 points for each quality comment that you post on the blogs of other Summer Learning Journey participants. It’s that easy!
Let me know if you need any help at all, that’s what we’re here for :) I am looking forward to hearing all the beautiful, knowledgeable and diverse ideas that you have to offer and I am also looking forward to learning from you!
Congratulations on participating in the Summer Learning Journey! You have done such a great job on all your blog posts, you really have put in SO much effort!
Your two posts ‘Pancakes & Maple Syrup and ‘Salt & Pepper’! I loved the photos you attached because they had yummy toppings like whipped cream and sprinkles. These are my favourite toppings too! You were really passionate about this activity!
I hope this year brings you so much happiness! We are really looking forward to having you back next summer, I am so sure the year will go by quickly again.
